Berlin / Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - In Saxony-Anhalt, the number of new corona infections recorded per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, according to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), remains above the 100 mark.

The value on Tuesday morning was 106.9 and thus slightly below the previous day's 107.8.

This was the third day in a row that the country had a seven-day incidence of over 100.

The RKI dashboard showed higher values ​​on Tuesday morning only for the neighboring countries Thuringia (166.6) and Saxony (110.0).

Within one day, the health authorities in Saxony-Anhalt reported 145 new corona infections to the RKI.

Nationwide there were 5,480 new corona infections within one day and thus 1,228 more than a week ago.

The seven-day incidence nationwide was 83.7 after 82.9 on Monday.
