Wismar (dpa / mv) - The quarantine originally scheduled until Friday in a student residence in Wismar ended on Tuesday.

The district of Northwest Mecklenburg announced on Tuesday that the five people infected with the Sars-CoV-2 virus and some contact persons are subject to individual quarantines.

A total of 167 people were tested.

Some of the infected people had already been highly symptomatic a few days earlier, had many contacts inside and outside the facility and obviously often disregarded hygiene and distance rules.

Extensive investigations preceded the lifting of the quarantine because the lists of residents and the people who appeared for the test did not match in some cases.

Many of the people who were originally registered and who did not appear for the test had, in some cases, not been at the facility for a long time.

"Against this background, the protective measures stipulated in the general decree are no longer required to the extent specified," the decree says.
