Stockholm (AP) - Almost five years after his resignation from the national team, soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic is back in the Swedish national team for the first time.

National coach Janne Andersson nominated the 39-year-old AC Milan striker for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Kosovo at the end of March, as well as a friendly against Estonia.

A return of Ibrahimovic had previously been speculated for months.

Andersson met with him in Milan in November to explore possibilities for an Ibra comeback.

Ibrahimovic is the record scorer for the Swedish national team with 62 goals in 116 international matches.
