Dresden (dpa / sn) - Health Minister Petra Köpping (SPD) has expressed concern about the development of the corona pandemic in Saxony.

After the cabinet meeting on Tuesday, she referred to the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week.

On Tuesday, this seven-day incidence in the Free State was 110.0, and the value was above the 100 mark in eight districts: Vogtland, Zwickau, Erzgebirgskreis, Chemnitz, Central Saxony, Bautzen and Meißen.

The Vogtlandkreis even had the second highest value in Germany with 307.1 on Tuesday.

Köpping also commented on problems after the stop for the Astrazeneca vaccine: "Our vaccination plans are being thrown back."

Whether and how appointments will be made up must now be clarified.

The vaccination center in Plauen cannot currently vaccinate, and the vaccination buses cannot start.

The same applies to the model project with general practitioners.
