Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The Baden-Württemberg state government does not want to oblige those returning from Mallorca to corona tests at airports.

There are currently no such plans, said a spokesman for the Ministry of Social Affairs on Tuesday.

The state of Lower Saxony is considering reintroducing mandatory testing for travelers returning from Mallorca, as it became known on Monday.

Lower Saxony hopes for a nationwide regulation.

On Friday, the federal government decided to remove Mallorca and other regions in Spain, Portugal and Denmark from the list of corona risk areas.

This means that it has been possible to vacation there again since Sunday without quarantine and mandatory testing upon return.
