"Petter", 30, was drawn into crime early on, where he initially found a community he had previously lacked.

Today, "Petter" regrets many things he did during his time as a gang member, such as hiring younger people to sell drugs.

He sees how the exploitation of young people has continued and become increasingly serious. 



- If you already identify yourself as a gangster, someone will come and say "you get a hundred salmon if you help me cut this person" and give you a gun.

And then they go and do it, says "Petter".

- They have already come so far in their criminal career that they are prepared to do so, without needing a major push. 

Against harder roof

"Petter" is still against the swing towards a tougher grip on juvenile delinquents that is happening right now.

He believes that long prison sentences in prisons together with older criminals risk exacerbating young people's crime.

- It seems to disappear more and more that it is actually children we are talking about.
