It was on March 6, 2021 that stricter rules were introduced for shopping malls, bathhouses, gyms and sports facilities.

The rules mean, among other things, that shopping centers must take measures to ensure that no more than one person visits the shopping center at the same time, with the exception of children or people in need of support.

The County Administrative Board's inspection visit shows, however, that some customers shop in company despite calls to shop alone, the county administrative board writes in a press release.

"Lack of understanding"

- There is a lack of understanding among parts of the public regarding everyone's responsibility to reduce the spread of infection. Previously, the County Administrative Board has seen problems with young people moving in large groups and that it has primarily been a problem for shops near schools, but it is not only young people who need to be reminded to take responsibility for reducing the spread of infection, says Carl Fredrik Graf, governor of Östergötland.
