Darmstadt (dpa) - An antelope weighing 160 kilograms has escaped from a circus in the Darmstadt district of Arheilgen.
Road users observed the animal for the first time around 6.30 p.m. in the area of the Rhönring, as the police headquarters in South Hesse announced on Tuesday.
The antelope cow later appeared on train tracks - the federal police had to temporarily block the route completely.
"The animal has been caught," reported a police spokesman in the evening.
It was to be brought back to the circus that evening.
