Some 50 cars, six utility vehicles and a heavy truck were destroyed by a fire overnight from Monday to Tuesday, in the town of Saint-Savin in Gironde.
All these vehicles, parked in the Palard company fleet, were doomed to destruction.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 11:22 p.m. and mobilized four water hoses to control the fire, which quickly spread among the wreckage of vehicles.
Enedis was forced to isolate a low voltage line after the disaster, which caused a power cut for around thirty residents of the area.
