She became interested in cryptocurrencies five years ago.

At the time, she was one of the few girls, and therefore started the Facebook group Kryptogäris, a meeting place to increase interest and knowledge about cryptocurrencies, especially among women.

- When I started Kryptogäris, 95 percent of men worked and invested in cryptocurrencies, says Tove Andersson.

In the past year, the number of Swedes who have invested in bitcoin has increased, and it is still mainly men who invest in the cryptocurrency.

At the online broker Avanza, for example, men account for 80 percent of bitcoin purchases.

- Only the possibility that cryptocurrencies become our new financial system means that it is important that we have diversity, says Tove Andersson, who has now left a job in the advertising industry to devote herself full-time to cryptocurrencies.
