Annaberg-Buchholz (dpa / sn) - IG Metall starts its third warning strike week on Monday with an action in Annaberg-Buchholz.

To this end, the union has called on the workers on the early and late shifts at the Handtmann light metal foundry to stop work at 1.30 p.m.

The company is not a member of the collective bargaining employers' association, but the results of the current collective bargaining round would also apply to its employees, said trade unionist Florian Hartmann.

"That is precisely why it is important that the Handtmann workforce also send a clear signal for the demands of IG Metall and also increase the pressure in their company."

In the three rounds of negotiations so far, the employers have shown zero movement, the union criticizes.

That is why she has announced that she will intensify the warning strikes that began earlier this week this week.

IG Metall is demanding, among other things, four percent more money for twelve months, which can optionally be used to secure employment.

The current collective bargaining dispute in Saxony is primarily about around 27,000 employees in companies bound by collective bargaining;

the metal and electrical industry in the Free State has a total of around 190,000 employees.
