According to witnesses, the two 27 and 28-year-old men got into an unlocked car and drove off, the police announced on Monday.

The 28-year-old braked at a pedestrian light on Saturday lunchtime - but so tightly that the car stopped just a few centimeters from three pedestrians.

Witnesses told the two men to stop the car and get out.

The two tried to escape on foot, but were stopped.

Federal police officers carried out an alcohol test - the result was values ​​of 3.28 and 2.17 per mille.

The 28-year-old also did not have a valid driver's license, the car was registered for a company from Hanover.

Nobody got hurt.
