The number of patients with Covid-19 is on the rise in the Paris region.

To support the public hospital, whose intensive care services are already overloaded, the Regional Health Agency (ARS) has asked private clinics to receive more patients with Covid-19 in intensive care.

As at the Ambroise Paré clinic in Neuilly-sur-Seine.

At the Ambroise Paré clinic, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, specializing in cardiac surgery, cardiac operations have not been deprogrammed for the moment.

But in the intensive care unit, room had to be made

for patients with Covid-19

We incorporated patients with Covid-19 into the resuscitation beds, but we also created a second resuscitation unit

," explains Dr Estagnasie, resuscitator cardiologist.

There are currently eight additional resuscitation beds just for Covid-19.

We note that

the hospitalized patients are perhaps younger than before

, they are largely affected, as is the case in Île-de-France, by the English variant, but the pathology is comparable to that of we saw during the first wave.

 "

The patients are seriously ill and their number is steadily increasing.

A year after the first wave

, the nursing staff

are exhausted

.

“

We are not happy to go back in

, summarizes Stéphanie Renoult, nurse manager.

This means that the situation is getting worse, that there is still no solution and no prospect of an end, future or continuation

 ”

The intensive care unit is now under pressure, and staff now hope that the vaccination can limit the number of severe cases.

For Frédéric Adnet, director of the emergency department of the Avicenne hospital in Bobigny and head of SAMU 93, the transfer of patients is not the best option to relieve hospital tension
