Lolwah Al-Khater, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed her country's keenness to find new ways and paths towards a solution in Syria based on the Geneva One and UN Security Council Resolution 2254.
Al-Khater stressed the need for there to be a real and comprehensive political transition in Syria according to these decisions.
The Qatari spokeswoman called on all parties to realize that the solution in Syria is political, not military.
She emphasized that ensuring the independence, unity and stability of Syria must be the basis for any future solution between the various parties.
