This particular bottle was a gift made to the rapper by D'Ussé, a brand that he created about ten years ago with the group of Charentais traders Otard, specifies the regional daily.

The bottle was presented to him in December 2019 when the rapper was celebrating his 50th birthday.

In all, fifty bottles were produced to be distributed to those around him.

Selling for the benefit of a cause

Initially, the bottle was not to be sold.

This is the first time that such a bottle has been offered to the public, says

Forbes

.

The auction which was launched on March 1 was organized to benefit the

Shawn Carter Foundation

.

This non-profit organization carries out actions in the direction of mentoring and assistance to students.

The decanter was offered with its support designed in precious wood and its leather travel case signed with a cross of Lorraine.

The estimate of the house Sotheby's oscillated between 25,000 and 75,000 dollars.

Those who have not been able to bet on this collector's bottle will however be able to taste the same cognac in the spring, since 200 bottles from the same year 1969 will be put on sale, reports

Capital

.

It will cost 10,000 euros.
