Stuttgart (AP) - The Baden-Württemberg CDU state chief Thomas Strobl does not want to look for any culprit after the poor performance of his party in the state elections in the southwest.
"There is no reason for blame," said Strobl on Sunday evening on ZDF.
The election result did not come as a surprise, rather it emerged.
"The Greens are the first, the CDU is in second place."
And then nothing comes for a long time.
There is no mood of change in the country.
A stable and reliable government was formed with the Greens for five years.
Nevertheless it is clear: “This election result is a great disappointment for the CDU Baden-Württemberg.
We had different expectations, ”said Strobl.
The fact that the Greens are the winners has to be dealt with now.
