State election 2016: results in Rhineland-Palatinate

In the last state election on March 13, 2016, the SPD was the strongest party with 36.2 percent, ahead of the CDU with 31.8 percent.

The AfD came to 12.6 percent, the FDP to 6.2 percent and the Greens to 5.3 percent.

The left clearly missed the leap into the state parliament with 2.8 percent.

The other parties together achieved 4.9 percent.

The turnout was 70.4 percent, an increase of 8.6 percent compared to 2011.

The SPD had 39 seats in the past legislative period, the CDU 35, the AfD 14, the FDP seven and the Greens six.
