Mainz (AP) - The Rhineland-Palatinate SPD General Secretary Daniel Stich sees the election victory of his party as a logical consequence of the past few years.
“We were well prepared digitally, we prepared the party for the years before Corona.
We had good ideas.
Apparently this election evening proves us right, ”said Stich on Sunday evening in Mainz.
The digital election campaign was “a challenge for everyone”, so the celebration now also applies.
“I'll have to have a beer with myself.
But: There are worse things in life, ”said Stich about the success of the SPD and Prime Minister Malu Dreyer.
