Magdeburg / Berlin (dpa / sa) - In Saxony-Anhalt, the number of new infections with the corona virus per 100,000 inhabitants reported within seven days has risen further.

According to the Robert Koch Institute, the incidence on Sunday morning was 103. The day before, the RKI for Saxony-Anhalt had reported a value of 96 in the morning, the state of 103.02 on Saturday afternoon.

The incidence value determines whether the measures to contain the pandemic will be relaxed or tightened.

Nationwide, the number of new infections reported within seven days per 100,000 inhabitants (seven-day incidence) according to the Robert Koch Institute on Sunday morning (7.19 a.m.) was 79 after 76.1 the previous day and 66.1 a week ago.

According to the RKI, Thuringia had the highest incidence value among the federal states on Sunday morning with 162, the lowest value Schleswig-Holstein with 50.
