Argentine club River Plate announced yesterday, Saturday, the contract with two falcons to protect the new ground for its stadium.

River Plate returned to the Monumental Stadium last month after a seven-month renovation, and it was reported that the renovations cost 200 million pesos ($ 2.20 million) and included a new floor for the stadium.

The club told Reuters that it used two falcons after pigeons ate the seeds of grass on the stadium that hosted many matches for the Argentina national team, and there they won the World Cup for the first time in 1978.
