Mannheim (dpa / lni) - SV Meppen has won an important victory in the relegation battle of the third division.
Five days after the bitter defeat at Viktoria Köln, Lower Saxony won 1-0 (1-0) at Waldhof Mannheim on Sunday.
Yannick Osee scored the winning goal in the 19th minute for the Emsländer, who thus moved a little away from the relegation ranks.
"It was definitely very, very important for us," said goal scorer Osee at MagentaSport.
"The most important thing was that we kept zero."
Meppen's coach Torsten Frings was totally satisfied.
