Mönchengladbach (dpa) - Sports director Max Eberl fears that Borussia Mönchengladbach will not find a domino effect due to the announced departure from national soccer coach Joachim Löw when looking for a coach.

"With us, the decision is clear: I'm looking for a new coach for the summer, and accordingly I have had good conversations and definitely have a head start," said Eberl on Saturday evening in the "current sports studio" of the ZDF.

When asked whether there was a clear candidate, Eberl replied: "We have a clear idea."

The current coach, Marco Rose, will switch to Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund after this season.

Since the announcement of the change, Mönchengladbach has been in a crisis, has not won a point and has lost six times in a row.

However, Eberl still did not want to know anything about an early separation.

"I see a team that gives everything, a coach who gives everything - and that's what I have to evaluate."
