Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The CDU parliamentary group leader in the state parliament, Wolfgang Reinhardt, has just won the constituency of Main-Tauber.

With 29.6 percent of the vote, Reinhardt again won the direct mandate in the northernmost constituency of the country.

This emerges from the preliminary results of the Main-Tauber district from Sunday evening.

The Green candidate Leonhard Haaf landed just behind Reinhardt and won 27.1 percent of the vote.

In the 2016 election, Reinhardt entered the Stuttgart parliament as a direct candidate for the constituency with 35.4 percent of the vote.

The Green politician Leonhard Haaf had received 21.3 percent of the vote at the time and ended up behind Reinhardt.

The AfD politician Christina Baum had received 17.2 percent of the vote at the time.

In this year's election, they received 10.7 percent of the vote.
