Dresden (dpa / sn) -Despite the ban on the "lateral thinking" demonstration by critics of the Corona measures in Dresden, the police are preparing for a large-scale operation.

"Our task is to enforce the ban on gatherings with all consistency," said a police spokesman on Saturday morning on request.

The officials assume that the opponents of the Corona measures will mobilize for a "replacement event" in the Saxon state capital despite a judicial ban.

In addition, it is about monitoring compliance with the corona rules, said the spokesman.

"It remains a great effort for us."

The officers are also supported by emergency services from other federal states.

On Saturday night, the Saxon Higher Administrative Court (OVG) in Bautzen confirmed the ban on the "lateral thinking" demonstration planned for Saturday afternoon.

The Dresden Administrative Court had already confirmed the ban imposed by the city the day before on Friday.
