The total number of COVID-19 cases registered in the country has reached 4,380,525, since the beginning of the pandemic, 91,695 people have died, 3,985,897 patients have recovered.

Rospotrebnadzor reported that more than 114.8 million laboratory tests have already been carried out in the country for the presence of a new coronavirus, including among citizens who arrived from countries with an unfavorable epidemiological situation.

“All citizens, and especially those at risk (the elderly, people with chronic diseases) need to minimize visits to public places, observe the rules of personal hygiene, and if their health worsens, stay at home and seek medical help,” the department recalled.

In Moscow, according to the operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the situation with coronavirus, over the past 24 hours, 699 people were hospitalized.

Recall that on March 11, the representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Russia, Melita Vuinovich, noted an improvement in the situation with COVID-19 in the Russian Federation.

At the same time, she expressed the opinion that the situation in the world remains alarming due to the emergence of new strains, which requires "constant attention and constant flexibility of the system."

Prior to that, Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking about tourism, also noted that in a number of countries there is a difficult situation with the coronavirus.

At the same time, the Russian leader expressed the hope that the rate of vaccination will increase and the situation will change in a positive direction.

In early March, the head of state, during a meeting with participants in the All-Russian action of mutual assistance "We are Together," also said that the spread of coronavirus in Russia is declining, but there are still many dangerous challenges.

He drew attention to the fact that in order to defeat the pandemic, it is necessary to combine efforts, including in the international arena, and also emphasized the contribution of vaccines developed by Russian scientists to the fight against the epidemic.

“Our vaccine (Sputnik V) and vaccines (two other drugs registered in the Russian Federation) are the safest and most effective in the world,” Putin recalled.

The President said that in the country (as of March 4), over 2 million people received two components of the vaccine, and about 2 million more received the first injection.

The day before, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said that the availability of several vaccines for COVID-19 in Russia makes it possible to make the most optimistic forecasts for combating the pandemic.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also spoke about improving the situation with the spread of SARS-CoV-2 in early spring.

The mayor noted the "alarming signals" that come from Brazil and some European countries, but said that the situation in the capital remains stable.

“The incidence rate is decreasing every week.

In terms of hospitalizations and other indicators, the spread of the coronavirus has decreased 2-3 times, ”Sobyanin said.

On March 10, the mayor said that most of the restrictions still in force in the capital, in his opinion, could be lifted in the spring, but some precautions, such as a mask mode in the subway or restrictions on mass events, may remain in effect longer.

Meanwhile, the Russian regions also continue to make decisions on the extension or cancellation of restrictive measures, based on the epidemiological situation.

So, in the Volgograd region, Governor Andrei Bocharov extended quarantine restrictions until March 31.

The region continues to have a ban on the work of catering establishments from 23:00 to 6:00, as well as children's entertainment rooms.

Theaters and cinemas can receive no more than 50% of the audience.

In addition, the self-isolation regime for persons over 65 has been extended, which has already been canceled in Moscow.

Due to the coronavirus, the high alert mode was also extended in the Krasnodar Territory - the ban on entertainment, entertainment, cultural events remains.

The number of participants in business meetings should not exceed 100.

Meanwhile, in the Khabarovsk Territory, in connection with the improvement of the situation, it was allowed to hold mass events, in which up to 100 people take part.

The requirements for observance of the mask regime and social distance in the region are still in force.
