At the weekend, people in the southwest have to reckon with storms and hurricanes.
According to the German Weather Service (DWD), meteorologists expect gusts of wind over the course of Saturday, and even heavy gusts of wind on the flatlands.
Hurricane gusts occur on the Feldberg at speeds of up to 140 kilometers per hour.
In addition, the weather experts expect rain and thunderstorms in the north-west of the country.
