Berlin (dpa) - The actress Emilia Schüle (28, “Ku'damm 56”) becomes wistful when she sees films from times without cell phones and the Internet.

"I already feel that way with films from 2005, before the smartphones appeared," said Schüle of the German Press Agency in Berlin.

“This inability to be in the moment bothers me.

The other is so much more appealing, even in the movie.

I really enjoy watching films that are device-free. "

Schüle is involved in an association for more empathy in the digital space.

"In addition to many advantages, digitization also brings many psychological dangers," she said.

"I experience the Internet as a place where humanity is neglected, the corona pandemic is taking problems such as cyberbullying, fake news and hate speech to a new level."

She founded this association because she believes digitization needs values.

“A nationwide campaign is needed that educates and creates awareness for more digital empathy.

Everyone has to go along with this: the federal government, the big players in the tech industry, parents, young people. "

Schüle plays one of the leading roles in the ZDF post-war saga "Ku'damm 56".

After the sequel to “Ku'damm 59”, the third season of the miniseries starts on March 21 with “Ku'damm 63”.

It's about a dance school on Kurfürstendamm and a mother and three daughters.
