Leipzig (AP) - Ten months after the discovery of a weapon hiding place in the garden of an elite soldier of the Special Forces Command (KSK) from Saxony, the process is coming to an end.

According to the current status, the pleadings are planned for this Friday, after which the judgment could also be announced, as a spokeswoman for the Leipzig Regional Court said.

The suspended 46-year-old soldier has to answer for violations of the War Weapons Control Act, the Weapons Act and the Explosives Act.

During a search of his property in Collm (Northern Saxony district) last May, the investigators discovered, among other things, two kilograms of professional explosives and writings with right-wing extremist content.

In addition, the soldier had buried several thousand pieces of rifle and pistol ammunition, an AK47 assault rifle, a crossbow, a smoke hand grenade as well as firearms and weapon parts in the garden.

For years, the defendant was responsible for planning and carrying out target practice in the 2nd Company, including handing over ammunition to the soldiers.

The 2nd Command Company, which was later disbanded, threw pig heads at a farewell party for a KSK commander in 2017.

It is said that right-wing rock was heard and the Hitler salute was shown.
