I hope to add strength to the revitalization of the countryside in this hot land of Qinzhou." Taiwanese businessman Lai Zhongzhi said in Qinzhou, Guangxi recently.

Over the past 18 years, the 73-year-old man has finally succeeded in introducing 27 Taiwanese rare fruit and vegetable varieties, including Taiwan orange, red carambola, long fruit mulberry, lotus mist, and custard apple, in Qinzhou, turning the former barren hills into green. Ecological orchard.

Under the guidance of Lai Zhongzhi, local villagers began to plant long fruit mulberries on a large scale and set up cooperatives.

Lai Zhongzhi provided the villagers with low-cost fruit seedlings developed by him, provided free technical guidance, guaranteed the price and harvested the fruits, and drove the villagers to get rich together.

The local villagers recognized him very much.

According to Lai Zhongzhi, the orchard will have a bumper harvest in 2020. Because of its good quality, sales have not been affected by the epidemic. All sales will be completed before the Spring Festival and exported to Beijing, Heilongjiang and other places.

Talking about 2021 and the next development plan, Lai Zhongzhi hopes to seize the opportunity of rural revitalization and expand investment in Qinzhou.

He is currently building a homestay and sightseeing restaurant in the park.

While gaining development, he will continue to provide technical support to the villagers and help them increase their income.

Like Lai Zhongzhi, Taiwanese businessman Zhuang Yuwei is also optimistic about the business opportunities for rural revitalization.

At the beginning of 2018, Zhuang Yuwei came to Wuxuan County, Laibin City, Guangxi to invest in property, and established Guangxi Wuxuanshui Fengying Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. to build a modern science and technology agricultural cooperation demonstration base.

Having started his business in Guangxi for more than three years, Zhuang Yuwei has tasted the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.

In the spring of 2019, Wuxuan County continued to experience hail and heavy rainfall.

Workers could not be hired due to the cold weather, and the mature fruits and vegetables in the greenhouses were not harvested, and the fruits and vegetables were unsold. Due to continuous heavy rainfall, many greenhouses were flooded, and all the fruits and vegetables that had not yet been harvested were soaked.

The early investment was turned into ashes, and the company's capital chain was also broken.

When Zhuang Yuwei had nothing to do, the local Taiwan Affairs Office extended a helping hand.

Under the coordination of the local Taiwan Affairs Office, the local government came forward to help Zhuang Yuwei solve the financing problem, and Zhuang Yuwei's enterprise came back to life.

After the business improved, Zhuang Yuwei enthusiastically gave back to the local people.

At the end of 2019, Guangxi Wuxuanshui Fengying Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. and Shiqi Village, Ertang Town, Wuxuan County established a poverty alleviation workshop to absorb poor laborers and help 15 poor households get out of poverty.

In 2020, Zhuang Yuwei's planting base was recognized as the first batch of Guangxi-Taiwan agricultural cooperation demonstration bases.

"For rural development, there must be an industry. I want to manage this base well, drive surrounding farmers to invest in shares, and help rural revitalization and construction." Zhuang Yuwei said, with the blessing of rural revitalization, his career will usher in a new spring. .

Ye Guobin, a Taiwanese businessman who grows orchids in Rong County, Yulin City, Guangxi, has a similar experience to Zhuang Yuwei.

In 2018, Rongxian County was hit by a typhoon, more than 10 acres of orchids planted by Ye Guobin were blown down, the orchid garden was in a mess, and nearly ten years of hard work was wiped out overnight.

"A typhoon broke my funding chain. The enthusiastic villagers comforted and encouraged me. The shed collapsed and they repaired me free of charge. They helped me find a solution to the shortage of funds. After the typhoon, the villagers worried about the existence of my residence. I was asked to live in their home because of potential safety hazards. The Taiwan Affairs Office and other departments rushed over as soon as they learned of the situation, comforting me and helping me raise funds. The villagers and the local government helped me in time to get me out The predicament." Ye Guobin said.

"I hope to promote the common development of the villagers through orchid planting." Ye Guobin said that the total area of orchids he planted has reached 22 mu, and he hopes to contribute to the revitalization of local villages through the orchid industry.
