Sharjah Police fights the theft of vehicle contents with the campaign "Your Collectibles ... Your Responsibility"

The Sharjah Police General Command launched an electronic awareness campaign, from a distance, for a month, under the title: “Your Collectibles… Your Responsibility”, in cooperation with the strategic partners: (Tawjeeh Center and Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority).

The Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, Colonel Omar Ahmed Balzoud, said that the campaign aims to strengthen preventive measures to reduce the theft of vehicle contents, by spreading comprehensive awareness about them, in line with the strategic objective of the Ministry of Interior, which aims to enhance security and safety, by publishing awareness-raising videos of three Languages: (Arabic, English, Urdu), through the social networking sites of the Sharjah Police, and the electronic display screens throughout the emirate.

He emphasized the keenness of Sharjah Police to enhance security awareness among all members of the public, by raising awareness of some negative phenomena and behaviors that appear from time to time, especially those visiting wilderness areas.

He explained that one of the negative phenomena is that some owners of weak souls committed crimes of stealing possessions, especially valuable ones from inside vehicles, whose owners neglect to take preventive measures to protect them, advising to avoid leaving valuable belongings and important documents inside the vehicle when clearly leaving, as these collectibles are considered the first What vehicle thieves are targeting, and leaving it in this state is a temptation to those with weak souls to steal it.

He called on individuals to cooperate with the security services, since negative phenomena cannot be addressed from one side, and these matters need an integral movement in society, by reporting any behavior that raises suspicion, theft, or other negative phenomena, through the nearest police station, or Call the number "999", which is designated for reporting serious accidents and emergencies.
