The Ministry of the Interior, once again, took advantage of Friday to adopt approving approaches and grade progressions.

On this occasion, there are six ETA prisoners who will be transferred to prisons in Cantabria, La Rioja and the Basque Country.

And one of the beneficiaries of Grande-Marlaska's decision is the terrorist who pulled the trigger and assassinated the chief prosecutor of Andalusia, Luis Portero.

His son Daniel Portero, president of Dignidad y Justicia, has already announced that he will appeal this change in grade and approach before the ordinary justice system.

The beneficiary terrorist is Harriet Iragui Gurruchaga, who will be transferred from the Castellón-II prison to the Logroño Penitentiary Center.

Interior explains that this murderer entered prison on October 20, 2000 and has a 30-year sentence for the crimes of murders, attacks, havoc, possession of explosives and forgery of public documents.

Grande Marlaska, again, argues that he is approached because he accepts the legality of the prison and "has presented a document in which he expresses his rejection of the use of violence and the suffering caused to the victims of his actions."

The General Secretariat of Penitentiary Institutions has resolved his progression to second degree and transfer to the Riojan prison.

In statements to this newspaper, Portero has explained that neither he nor his family has received any communication from this terrorist asking for forgiveness or assuming responsibility for the crime of the chief prosecutor.

In addition, they understand that the circumstances do not exist for this inmate to be benefited by Interor and, therefore, they will go to ordinary justice.

As already happened in the case of one of Gregorio Ordóñez's murderers, Interior has adopted this decision against the criteria of the Treatment Board.

Iragui is also condemned for the murders of the PP councilor José María Martín Carpena and the military doctor Antonio Muñoz Cariñanos.

Another of Interior's beneficiaries this week is Íñigo Zapirain Romano.

You will be transferred from the Madrid-VI Penitentiary Center (Aranjuez) to the El Dueso Penitentiary Center (Cantabria).

He entered prison on March 5, 2011 and is serving a cumulative 40-year sentence for the crimes of murder, attempted murder, attacks, ravages and fires.

On this occasion, Interior agrees his progression to second degree and, at the proposal of the Madrid Treatment Board, his transfer to the prison of El Dueso (Cantabria).

Zapirain, along with the rest of the members of his ETA command, was sentenced to more than 3,800 years for the attack on the Burgos barracks and the murders of Luis Conde and Eduardo Puelles.

Jurdan Martitegi Lizaso will travel from the Madrid-V Penitentiary Center (Soto del Real) to the Martutene prison (San Sebastián).

He entered prison on July 9, 2020 and is serving a sentence of 146 years and nine months for the crimes of attack by an armed gang, illegal detention, havoc, possession of explosives and robbery with violence.

You have not made the legal accumulation of your sentences.
