After the number of new infections in Germany had fallen continuously in recent weeks, it is now increasing again.
Nationwide, the seven-day incidence climbed from 62 four weeks ago to 72 now.
A number of counties are now back above the 100 mark. If this is the case for three consecutive days, further planned easing of the pandemic measures according to the step-by-step plan drawn up by the federal and state governments could not come into effect or some could even be withdrawn.

A total of 87 urban or rural districts in Germany are again above the 100 mark, compared with 74 the day before.
The worst is currently around the district (LK) Greiz (Thuringia) with an incidence of 380 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days, followed by the independent city (SK) Hof in Bavaria very close with an incidence of 351. That are the districts, in alphabetical order:
