The investigating judge, who satisfied the prosecutor's demands, also indicted the ex-president's son-in-law, two former prime ministers and several former cabinet ministers.
Following the indictment, the ex-president will be under judicial control, the terms of which will be announced later.
Abdel Aziz served as president from 2009 to 2019.
