Ober-Mörlen (dpa / lhe) - In Ober-Mörlen (Wetteraukreis), dead hedgehogs were discovered again after several finds last year.
An animal rights activist reported two dead hedgehogs and a dead rabbit that were tied to the barrels to the police, according to a statement on Friday.
How the animals died is now to be clarified by a veterinary examination.
According to their own statements, the police are investigating the violation of the Animal Protection Act and are looking for witnesses.
In September last year, according to the police, walkers discovered eight dead hedgehogs in the Usa River near Ober-Mörlen.
These were apparently disposed of in plastic boxes.
Shortly before, five hedgehogs were found dead and packed in garbage bags.
It was still unclear whether the cases from the previous year were related to the current find.
