Regensburg (dpa / lby) - Explosives experts successfully defused an aerial bomber from the Second World War in Regensburg on Friday.

The bomb was found on Thursday morning during dredging work in the Kumpfmühl district.

According to the police, around 4,000 people had to leave their homes within a 400-meter radius.

An old people's home also had to be evacuated.

After defusing, the roadblocks in the area were lifted and people were able to return to their homes.
