Berlin (dpa / bb) - The seven-day incidence in Berlin, which is important with regard to possible easing, has increased, but remains lower than a week ago.

65.8 infections with the coronavirus per 100,000 inhabitants were recorded within seven days - after 57.9 the day before and around 70 a week ago.

That comes from the situation report of the Senate Department for Health from Friday.

The district health authorities reported 644 new infections (previous day: 553) and 5 further deaths within 24 hours.

The corona traffic light is still red for the incidence criterion. It would only jump to yellow from a value of 30, to green from 20. The warning system shows the warning system for the proportion of intensive care beds occupied by Covid 19 patients: it is 16.1 Percent.

The traffic light for the reproduction number is green with 0.67.

This means that 100 infected people infect 67 other people on average.

If this value is significantly below 1 in the long term, the pandemic is slowed down.

A total of 2,933 deaths in connection with the virus have been recorded in Berlin since the beginning of the Corona crisis.

The total number of registered infections in the city is 134 035, the number of unreported cases is likely to be significantly higher.

125,756 people are considered recovered.
