Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Shortly before the state elections in Baden-Württemberg, the Greens of Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann are still ahead of the CDU by a large margin, according to a new ZDF poll.

The Greens come to 34 percent, the CDU with top candidate Susanne Eisenmann to 24 percent.

This was the result of a survey by the Mannheim research group Elections for the ZDF “Politbarometer”.

Compared to the previous week, the Greens lose one point, the CDU remains at its value.

The AfD is therefore unchanged at eleven percent, the SPD at ten percent, the FDP again wins a point and climbs to eleven percent.

The left would again not come to the state parliament with 3 percent.

The incumbent also continues to depend on the challenger when it comes to personal popularity ratings.

According to the survey, 70 percent of Baden-Württemberg residents would prefer Kretschmann as Prime Minister, only 13 percent would like Eisenmann as head of government.
