Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - Third division soccer team SV Wehen Wiesbaden has extended the contract with coach Rüdiger Rehm, which expires at the end of the season, by two years until summer 2023.

The Hessians announced this on Thursday evening at their virtual general meeting.

"Rüdiger Rehm is a stroke of luck for the SVWW and we would like to work with him for a long time," said Nico Schäfer, spokesman for the management.

“I feel extremely comfortable at SVWW and after four years I am as motivated as on the first day.

The club has a lot of potential and has not yet reached the end of its development, ”explained Rehm.

The 42-year-old came in February 2017 and led Wiesbaden to the 2nd division in 2019, from which they were relegated immediately last season.

In the current season the SVWW is currently in fifth place.

"After relegation, we put together a team capable of developing and we want to knock on the goal of the 2nd Bundesliga with them," said Rehm.
