Kellmünz / Kempten (dpa / lby) - After the fire in a warehouse in the immediate vicinity of a biogas plant, there is a risk of explosion in the Swabian district of Neu-Ulm.
"The warehouse is about 20 meters from the biogas plant," said a police spokesman in Kempten.
"So far the emergency services have been able to prevent the fire from spreading."
If the fire spreads, there is a risk of explosion.
Why the fire broke out in the warehouse near Kellmünz an der Iller was initially unclear.
The owner of the biogas plant suffered smoke inhalation while trying to extinguish the fire, and his wife suffered a shock.
According to the police, other people were not in danger because the facility was about a kilometer from the nearest houses.
