A man in his forties killed his 20-month-old child by throwing him from a balcony of a building in Montargis (Loiret) and killed himself by jumping too. - we learned from the city prosecutor.
Shortly before 2 pm, in the district of Grand-clos, a man "showed up with his child in a baby carrier and rang the bell at a lady's house, explaining that he wanted to take pictures because he had lived there before and that he wanted to take pictures of her home, ”said Loïc Abrial, public prosecutor of Montargis, confirming information from the local media.
Then he went to the balcony on the tenth floor of this high-rise apartment building and "the investigation must establish whether he first threw the child and then jumped himself" or whether they jumped. at the same time, he added.
Flagrance investigation for murder
Both died despite attempts at resuscitation.
The father was "a priori in a context of a conflictual separation", according to the magistrate.
"The investigation will have to determine the context and the use of the time of father and his son during the last days and the last hours", added Loïc Abrial.
An investigation of flagrance for assassination was entrusted to the Montargis police station.
