Potsdam (dpa / bb) - In Brandenburg, a small part of the state Corona aid is affected by the temporarily stopped payments.

There are several hundred applications, said the spokeswoman for the Brandenburg Investment Bank (ILB), Ingrid Mattern, on Thursday on request.

Affected are applications that were made from March 3rd - for bridging aid as well as November and December aid.

The restart assistance for solo self-employed is not affected by the temporary stop.

The Federal Ministry of Economics had announced that in some cases there was a suspicion that government aid funds were illegally obtained.

This involves down payments - practically advances on state aid - and regular payments.

The advance payments, which have been stopped as a precaution, are to be resumed in the next few days, according to Wednesday.

The ministry informed the ILB that the payments on account should be resumed shortly after the suspected fraud cases had been examined.

According to the Föderbank, the applications for all Corona special programs will be processed further.

For bridging aid I and II in Brandenburg, 4,235 of 4,371 applications were recently approved; 52.3 million euros have been paid out so far.

To date, 903 of 1435 applications have been approved for Bridging Aid III; 15.2 million euros have flowed - partly the full amount, partly a discount.

The aid goes to companies affected by corona restrictions.

For the November and December aid, 16 120 of 18 408 applications were approved, and 176.9 million euros were paid out.

These aids are aimed at companies, the self-employed and associations that are affected by closings.
