Berlin (dpa) - The Jewish Museum Berlin and two projects in Saxony have been awarded the German Prize for Cultural Education «Kulturlichter», which was awarded for the first time.

The Jewish Museum's “Learning Platform for Jewish Places” was able to secure the federal prize worth 20,000 euros.

Information on Jewish places of the present and the past can be generated via the platform and supplemented in the online portal.

The “Fabmobil” project of the Constitute association, located in Dresden and operating in Lausitz, is a mobile art and digital workshop for rural areas.

The double-decker bus, which is equipped with digital technology and machine tools, primarily trains young, but also older people, in how to use creative technologies and computer-aided art.

“Fabmobil” was awarded the State Prize, which is also endowed with 20,000 euros.

The undoped prize of the audience, decided by online voting, went to the Chemnitz association ASAFF for the project "Wandering day in space", a digital, interactive puppet theater for grades three to five.

The award is linked to tailor-made advice for the further development of the project.
