Authorities received 100,000 doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine on Wednesday March 10 to fight the coronavirus pandemic which, since its appearance in the country a year ago, has killed more than 120 people.

We will start by vaccinating the people most at risk: health personnel, the press which is in contact with everyone, the public force.

We must especially favor people who have associated diseases (diabetes, hypertension) and those who are over 50 years old, 

”explained Professor Alexis Elira Dokekias, first responsible for the care of Covid patients.

According to Ma Fulin, the Chinese ambassador, the Congo is one of several beneficiary countries of the Sinopharm vaccine.

Congo recorded its first case of the coronavirus on March 14, 2020 and has more than 120 deaths to date.
