It was in January last year that two people, a man and a woman, were found murdered in their house in Vallentuna.

In the district court, two men, 26 and 28 years old, were convicted of the murder of the woman.

However, no one was convicted of the murder of the man.

This is how Chamber Prosecutor Jenny Karlsson has previously told about the evidence:

The two men have denied that they murdered the couple and blamed each other in the district court.

However, the district court found that it had been proven that the two men together and in concert had killed the woman and they were therefore both convicted of the murder of her.

The person who has now been released from custody is the 26-year-old man.

Prosecutor Jenny Karlsson tells DN that she interprets the decision as meaning that the man will not be convicted of murder in the Court of Appeal.

The Court of Appeal announces its verdict in the case on Friday.
