Leipzig / Halle (dpa) - The "Sputnik Spring Break" music festival is also canceled this year due to corona.
For this, MDR Sputnik will broadcast a spring break festival program for 70 hours over Whitsun (May 21 to 24) on the radio and via live stream, as the broadcaster announced on Wednesday.
According to the information, 70 predominantly regional artists will play around the clock and mostly live in the MDR studio in Halle.
Before the pandemic, tens of thousands of music fans came to the festival on the Pouch peninsula near Bitterfeld (Anhalt-Bitterfeld district).
Spring Break goes back to the spring break at universities in the USA, which students use for celebrations and relaxation, among other things.
