Euskirchen (dpa) - After a corona outbreak, the home appliance manufacturer Miele's plant in Euskirchen is back to normal operation.

The company announced on Wednesday.

Parts of the operation had been dormant since February 23, because 266 employees had been quarantined by March 9.

Miele announced that after the final series tests, three people had a positive result and were still in quarantine.

This did not stand in the way of ramping up production.

Operations were also restarted at other locations that were temporarily unable to produce due to the delivery failure of the engines from Euskirchen.

This applies to the Gütersloh GTG plants in Ksawerów (washing machines) in Poland, Bielefeld (dishwashers and vacuum cleaners) and Uničov in the Czech Republic (dishwashers and dryers).

The factory in Warendorf in Münsterland had to stop production because the plastic components produced there could not be accepted by the equipment factories in the meantime.

Here, too, production is running again, it was said.

A total of over 4,000 employees were affected at all locations.
