The leader and candidate of the Insoumis for 2022 Jean-Luc Mélenchon on Wednesday crushed the type of ecology defended by the president of the National Rally Marine Le Pen, the "identity naturalism" of the "old extreme right".

"Hello, here is the old identity naturalism of the old extreme right again", quips Jean-Luc Mélenchon in a column published in HuffPost, about the interventions of Ms. Le Pen on the occasion of the current examination of the bill Climate in the National Assembly.

"It's called + localism +. It's just a kind of right to be different in the name of the land which does not lie at the local level", "a narrow concept" which leads to "the difference of rights", continues the president of the LFI group of deputies.

With ecology, "we touch on the essential, the happiness of being French, well on its territory, well in its environment, well among its own", explained Tuesday Marine Le Pen, denouncing "an out of control mobility ".

In detail, Jean-Luc Mélenchon criticizes the extreme right-wing official for her "double talk" vis-à-vis free trade treaties, pointing to her "absence" during two votes on the Tafta free treaty -exchange with the United States and the agreement with Canada.

L'Insoumis sees in the ecological "counter-project" presented by Marine Le Pen an "openly pronuclear position and an anti-wind obsession".

"It remains with a surly accompaniment of macronism", adds Mr. Mélenchon, supporter of ecological planning, who denounces his lack of position on "energy poverty", the "lack of investment in the railway", the " plastics scourge ", pesticides or even" the omnipresence of advertising ".
