The flames on a Seveso classified site in Strasbourg are still not under control.

A major fire was underway Wednesday morning in a building of the OVH company, specializing in computer servers, announced the Bas-Rhin prefecture.

The fire, which broke out around 3 am, mobilized "a hundred" firefighters in the Port du Rhin district, east of the Alsatian capital, not far from the German border.

No toxic pollution according to the prefecture

The prefecture said that no victims had been identified in the fire.

Firefighters were working to prevent the fire, which spread through a 4-story building housing servers, from spreading to other buildings.

Despite the large plume of smoke, no toxic pollution was detected on the industrial site, according to the prefecture.
