Demmin (dpa / mv) - An eight-year-old girl was seriously injured in a rear-end collision in Demmin (Mecklenburg Lake District).

There was no danger to life, as the police announced.

The child was - as well as three slightly injured - taken to hospital.

According to police, the accident occurred when a 34-year-old stopped her car on Wednesday afternoon to turn.

A 19-year-old driving behind her noticed this too late and drove up.

In the 19-year-old's car was her little sister, the eight-year-old.

In the 34-year-old's car, her son was still nine years old.

The police put the damage to the cars at around 5,000 euros.
