Caretaker saw first knife attack: "I see how he cuts when I close my eyes at night"

A few hours before the act, the 22-year-old is standing and waving to cars on the road near the travel center in central Vetlanda.

Anders has met the suspected perpetrator daily for a long time and says that he behaved very strangely during the morning a week ago.

- I work at the hotel and saw him through the window and how he waved, as if he greeted several cars that passed, it felt very strange, he says.

"Weapons to kill"

A few hours later, Anders was working at the travel center and saw the first knife attack, just a few meters away from where he was standing.

- I saw the weapon, I would not call it a knife, it was large, it was at least 30 centimeters long and sharp on both sides, that weapon was there to kill, he says.
